Mission

Wayne RESA believes engaging in maker-centered learning fosters innovation, ingenuity, and creativity and has the potential to transform teaching and learning for all.

Vision

We believe all students should have the opportunity to develop skills in critical thinking, creativity, communication, and collaboration through authentic, meaningful, and engaging learning experiences.  We know Making is an ideal platform to provide excellent equitable educational opportunities to all. We aim to empower K-12 educators in Wayne County to implement maker-centered learning opportunities in both classroom and out-of-class settings.

We will succeed when all students engage in maker-centered learning through either curriculum or non-specific curriculum learning experiences. The power of maker-centered learning will allow youth to develop as learners, creators, artists, innovators, engineers, entrepreneurs, and problem-solvers.
